LUBBOCK, Texas (KFDA) - With a good north wind at your back, it is just under two hours to the American Windmill Museum in Lubbock. “We would not be here without the windmill,” says Sandra Harris, executive director of the museum. The museum preserves and celebrates one of the main reasons we get to live the Panhandle. “We don’t have rivers, lakes, streams to get water out of. When people were coming to this area they were looking for water. You don’t live very long without water” she says.
