Confession: For years … years … I tried to have the Bible argument with bigots. I believed that if I could just get the exegesis right, unpack the Greco-Roman context of arsenokoitai, demonstrate that Sodom’s sin was inhospitality and not homosexuality, I could change minds. I thought the problem was an information deficit. I thought that if I could better educate people about the Bible, then I could change them. I was wrong.
