How is social media changing news?

Everyone can be a citizen journalist. However, the spread of hoaxes could be harmful. That's why we need confirmation and validitation.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To be transparent, humble, and a good listener.

Why did you become a journalist?

Three reasons: to give the voice to the voiceless, to hold people in power accountable, and to give hope to everyone who read my writings.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Writing about Ita Martadinata, a young Chinese Indonesian woman who was the key witness of 1998's mass rape in Indonesia.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

Writing about BTS fans in Indonesia, as they actually give me insight on how to love yourself and help others in need.
