Latent classes of self-management behaviors and a network model of influencing factors in community-dwelling older patients with chronic diseases: a healthy aging perspective
Abstract Objectives: To identify potential classes of self-management behaviors and constructs a network model linking cognitive reserve, psychological capital, social health, and self-management behaviors, providing a basis for precise interventions. Methods: From January to June 2024, a convenience sampling method was employed to select 394 older patients with chronic diseases from two community health service centers in Yanji City.
Organoid models: reshaping the paradigm for precision development and evaluation of CAR-T cell therapies
Abstract Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy has achieved transformative success in hematological malignancies; however, its translation to solid tumors remains severely limited by tumor heterogeneity, immunosuppressive microenvironments, and safety concerns such as on-target/off-tumor toxicity. A major contributor to these challenges is the lack of preclinical models capable of faithfully recapitulating human tumor architecture and tumor-immune interactions.
Solvating magnesium polysulfides enables low–barrier speciation for magnesium sulfur batteries
Abstract Magnesium–sulfur batteries offer high theoretical energy density but suffer from low sulfur utilization and rapid capacity fading. This work identifies the strong Mg2+–polysulfide Coulombic interaction as responsible for sluggish kinetics. We demonstrate that the solvation of magnesium polysulfides fundamentally governs their behavior, relaxing Mg2+–polysulfide coupling to facilitate polysulfide speciation and conversion kinetics.
