Validation of a Trained AI Imaging Model for Detecting Diabetic Foot Deformities

Using a multi-model pipeline, our AI model achieved strong internal performance with 91.1% anomaly detection accuracy and 88.57% anomaly classification accuracy after refinement. In external validation, the model reached 85.2% overall accuracy, but anomaly classification accuracy was lower at 66.7%, highlighting a possible performance drop in real-world deployment.
