Freshman goes viral for ‘Texas Fight’ cello cover

Arturo Gonzalez, a freshman chemical engineering student at UT, went viral after the official UT Austin Instagram page reposted his rendition of “Texas Fight” on his cello covers Instagram page. Gonzalez, a fan of UT since high school, plans on continuing to make more covers of UT songs in the future.

The annual beauty pageant Miss Black UT was hosted by UT’s Black Student Alliance in March. Contestants competed for a number of scholarships, with a $1,000 grand prize for this year’s title holder.
