Real-World Impact of Routine Addition of Antithymocyte Globulin to Standard GVHD Prophylaxis in Myeloablative Unrelated Donor Transplants: Important Gains in Graft-versus-Host Disease Prevention though No Difference in Overall Survival
Introduction: Antithymocyte globulin (ATG) has been demonstrated to reduce the incidence of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD); however, it remains controversial whether these gains are offset by an increase in relapse. Methods: We conducted a retrospective historical control study consisting of patients (n = 210) who underwent myeloablative allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (HSCT) from 2014 to 2020.

Streptomyces zingiberis sp. nov., an endophytic actinobacterium isolated from the root tissue of Zingiber montanum
Abstract An endophytic actinobacterium, designated strain PLAI 1-29T, was isolated from the root tissue of Zingiber montanum collected from Pathum Thani province, Thailand. Strain PLAI 1-29T was characterized using a polyphasic taxonomic approach. It typically exhibited morphological and chemotaxonomic properties of the genus Streptomyces . Strain PLAI 1-29T produced a spiral spore chain on aerial mycelium and grew at 15–40 °C, pH 6–10 on International Streptomyces Project 2 agar.
Micromonospora solifontis sp. nov., an actinobacterium isolated from hot spring soil
Abstract An actinobacterium strain, PPF5-17T, was isolated from hot spring soil collected from Chiang Rai province, Thailand. The strain exhibited morphological and chemotaxonomic properties similar to those of members of the genus Micromonospora . Colonies of PPF5-17T were strong pinkish red and turned black after sporulation in ISP 2 agar medium. Cells formed single spores directly on the substrate mycelium. Growth was observed from 15 to 45 °C and at pH 5–8.
Effect of chicken manure and chemical fertilizer on the yield and qualities of white mugwort at dissimilar harvesting times
Yield quality (nitrate accumulation and phytochemical compounds) The soil with 375.00 kg ha-1 of chemical fertilizer recorded the highest nitrate uptake in the white mugwort shoots at all three harvests, which were 23.09, 15.48, and 12.10 mg NO3-kg-1 fresh weight, respectively (Fig 2). The nitrate level was approximately 1–3 times higher in the chemical fertilization than in the organic fertilization. As nitrogen level increased, the plants accumulated more nitrate in the above-ground parts.

Numerical investigation of a light delivery device using metal/insulator/metal with a 3D linear taper waveguide and an input grating for heat-assisted magnetic recording
Abstract Heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR), a new technique, we believe, to overcome the data-density limitation, uses a laser to temporarily heat a nanovolume of a recording medium. Thus, this paper proposes a light delivery device that uses the metal/insulator/metal waveguide with a three-dimensional linear taper, and a grating added for an input, for HAMR. Our structure was calculated by finite-element method simulation.
