Khoury Williams

I am a journalism major and assistant copy editor for the Daily Forty-Niner.

I am currently in my first semester at Long Beach State University and I started my undergraduate journey at El Camino College in 2018 where I became editor-in-chief of The Union, student news publication for two years.

The journalism program and El Camino made me realize that I was always meant to be a journalist and through knowledge and the amazing opportunities that I was given, my passion for journalism grew so much more than I ever thought possible. I have had the most amazing time of my life at this college.

I am excited to be continuing my undergraduate journey at CSULB and learning a brand new set of valuable skills while giving back to my fellow journalism students with the knowledge I have gained over the past few years.

I have been following journalism my entire life. I started following video game journalists for reviews and previews. As I grew older and became more political, I followed journalists from Twitch, AP News and the LA Times who covered more national and statewide news topics.

Outside of journalism, I love to cook, travel, watch Marvel movies/TV, play video games and create content based on my hobbies.

My dream is to become a breaking news editor or broadcast producer.
