EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The City of El Paso, Texas Gas Service, El Paso Electric and the Better Business Bureau El Paso are inviting residents to celebrate local businesses on the third annual Buy El Paso Day. On Saturday Dec. 3rd, residents can make a purchase in any amount from a participating local business as well as other shops taking part in the celebration. El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Majesty Car Club, will hold a toy drive. It will take place Dec. 4 at Twin Peaks restaurant at the Fountains at Farah from noon to 5 p.m. There will be trucks and cars on display for the public to enjoy. Those who participate as well as spectators coming to the event are encouraged to bring a toy to donate. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Foundation aims to collect more than 2,000 toys to distribute this holiday season.

El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — As a part of the WinterFest season, the City of El Paso Public Library has started its Winter Reading Club Challenge. The Winter Reading Club is for readers ages 3 and up, children through adults, and runs through Dec. 29. The public library says the program aims to keep reading skills strong when students are out of school over the holidays.
