Demographics and physical and mental health of clients at a sports center with and without exercise addiction
This study explored the prevalence and determinants of EA among regular exercisers at a sports center. The prevalence of EA (9.1%) was notably higher than the 3% reported in prior research conducted among gym clients (Mónok et al., 2012), indicating potential contextual or methodological differences. EA was associated with higher frequency and longer exercise durations, and specific activities such as walking and other sports. The results were consistent with the study of Garman et al.

MK8617 inhibits M1 macrophage polarization and inflammation via the HIF-1α/GYS1/UDPG/P2Y14 pathway
Discussion In this study, we showed that safe doses of MK8617 significantly attenuated the inflammatory response in M1 macrophages. This effect was partly due to modulation of GYS1, by HIF-1α interfering with the binding of UDPG to P2Y14 and the resulting release of inflammatory mediators (Fig. 6). Recently, several studies reported that HIF-PHIs protect against various inflammation-associated diseases (Miao et al., 2021; Han et al., 2020; Kim et al., 2021).
