The City Council heard an update on that and other things at a recent meeting. On June 8, Eloy Police Chief Sergio Banales gave an update on the department during the City Council meeting. The department is actively seeking to fill vacant positions with three dispatchers and three police officers.

COOLIDGE — A “gem in the desert” offers residents and visitors alike a space to learn, collect specimens and enjoy earth sciences. Pinal Geology & Mineral Museum opened in 2015 in Coolidge thanks to Raymond Grant, who founded it at 351 N. Arizona Blvd. Its summer hours are Friday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., returning to winter hours in September from Wednesday to Saturday at that same time.
