ABSTRACT Digitalisation in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly transformed inter-organisational collaboration in regional networks. By analysing a regional network in Finland, this study unveils how the dynamics of inter-organisational collaboration have evolved over time.

Abstract Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of virtual community trust on work engagement and person–job fit in the context of digital work platforms. The emergence of the platform economy is changing the work environment fundamentally. It has enabled the appearance of alternative work arrangements, such as temporary organizing and the increase of independent contracting, also among highly specialized knowledge workers.

LUT-kauppakorkeakoulun Viipuri-palkinnon sai kesäkuussa 2019 yhdysvaltalainen tutkija Erik Brynjolfsson, joka on tutkinut muun muassa tietotekniikan tuottavuutta ja tekoälyn vaikutuksia työelämään. Brynjolfssonin mukaan optimistit arvioivat nykyisten teknologioiden tulevaisuuden mahdollisuuksia, kun taas pessimistit arvioivat tulevaisuuden mahdollisuuksia nykyisen bruttokansantuotteen ja tuottavuusdatan pohjalta.
