Abstract This study examined the relationship between serum PFAS concentrations and vitamin D levels in prepubertal children. Data were drawn from the 2013–2014 cycle of a nationally representative survey, including serum samples from children aged 3–11 years (N = 523). Five newly corrected PFAS components, commonly detected among study participants, were analyzed: PFNA, PFHxS, n-PFOA, n-PFOS, and Sm-PFOS. Combined PFAS toxicity was assessed using total PFOA equivalents.

1 ARCTIC TUNDRA IN THE FACE OF CLIMATE CHANGE In the face of climate change and related increases in fire occurrence, the state of the Arctic tundra biome is being re-evaluated (Armstrong McKay et al., 2022; Callaghan et al., 2022). The Arctic tundra has been a relatively stable biome, capable of withstanding perturbations during the last millennia, since reaching its current ecological state at the end of the last glacial period (Bliss et al., 1973; Dunbar, 1973).

Abstract Objective To develop a risk adjustment approach and tested reliability and validity for oncology survival measures. Data Sources and Study Setting We used the National Cancer Institute's Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER)-Medicare data from 2010 to 2013, with mortality data through 2015. Study Design We developed 2-year risk-standardized survival rates (RSSR) for melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and small cell lung cancer (SCLC).
