1 Introduction The first case of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was discovered in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. The World Health Organization designated COVID-19 as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern in March 2020. As of April 13, 2024, COVID-19 had spread to every country in the world, resulting in more than 704,753,890 COVID-19 cases and 7,010,681 fatalities.
