The sale circuit heads back to Deauville this week for the Arqana Summer edition, held June 30-July 1, and buyers from different disciplines will have the opportunity to stock up from some of Europe's leading operations. The Aga Khan Studs are among the vendors with offerings set for the sale, and their drafts are always keenly anticipated. The team consigns five lots on the second day of the event, each of those horses hailing from typically excellent families.

Wesley Ward marked his return to Royal Ascot with a brilliant winner in Bacio  June 19. Now he runs three in the 5-furlong Norfolk Stakes (G2) for 2-year-olds June 20 at Ascot Racecourse. Ruiva  ran admirably when third in the June 17 Queen Mary Stakes (G2), but Ward has kept hold of three fillies to take on the colts here.

Epsom Derby (G1) runner-up Ambiente Friendly  features among the 803 lots entered for next month's Tattersalls July Sale scheduled for July 7-9 in Newmarket. Offered by James Owen's Green Ridge Stables, the son of Gleneagles  won the Lingfield Derby Trial Stakes in 2024 before going on to finish second behind City of Troy  in the classic. He was also third in the Irish equivalent and has since been campaigned over hurdles, winning at Huntingdon in December.
