Zuffa Boxing will have its own belt and will NOT recognize the other bodies
ABC belt's are far more legit than this scam belt because a promoter controlling rankings, & awarding championships is a conflict of interest That's how you end up with a 2-1 Brock Lesnar (1-1 in UFC) getting a title shot If multiple ABC belts are a problem, then promoter belts will just add to the confusion with the added caveat that they won't even have a pretense of neutrality The other thing is that at least the ABC belts can be unified but this worthless trinket has no use beyond Zuffa...

Weakest Welterweight Champs ever, who is going to unify?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Kiwi Fish, . Is anyone else struggling with the thought of how weak the Welterweight division is at the moment? Historically it has been one of, if not the, most competitive divisions in the sport. How did we get here and can anyone recall when it has ever been weaker? During normal times we might have one of the current champs be lucky enough to get a belt, but the fact that all four of them have managed it at the same time is crazy.
Huni is one of the best heavyweights today in terms of skill.
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by CroBox29, . Fast, great on his feet and has very good defense, his only flaw is his lack of power, I think he could go far regardless of the loss against Wardley... heerko koois, MidniteProwler and Kiwi Fish like this. Agreed, if Huni had a decent chin and more pop he would easily be top 5 I reckon. MidniteProwler, Locked-Crazy41 and CroBox29 like this. If he is so good, then why did he ****ing lose last time around?
It is Parkers destiny to lose to Wardley
When I think about this fight I keep envisioning Parker winning the early rounds, trying to make a statement by being more aggressive, which will be his undoing. I see Wardley dragging him into a brawl and KO'ing him. That being said, realistically Parker should win comfortably lol. But I'm going with my gut feeling.
Ahmed Krnjić vs. Kevin Christopher Ramírez
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by IntentionalButt, . Finals of the Riyadh Season WBC Boxing Grand Prix in the Heavyweight division, live on DAZN on December 20th. As of today, Krnjić is 7-0 (4). Ramírez is 11-0-2 (4). Ten centimeter height advantage for the Bosnian (6′4½″ to KCR's six foot even) Both benefit from the absence of Lazizbek Mullojonov, who got himself barred from the Grand Prix after failing a drug test. I'm leaning towards Krnjic after his performance against Gomes.

The WBA orders Ball vs Figueroa
This content is protected How is Figueroa the mandatory when Cuello is the interim champion? We all know that Mendoza and Haymon are in cahoots, that's why PBC fighters always get favorable rankings with the organization. The people at the WBA are sleazeballs, so what can you do. Anyways, this is a pretty fun fight. If this fight materializes, this would be a early candidate for fight of the year in 2026. In 2022 & 2024, the FOTYs where in the same division and for the same belt.
Bridgerweight vs Heavyweight Question
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JohnJax, . Might be a dumb question, but hypothetically, could Usyk lose his belt for not being a heavyweight. He is close to technically not being a heavyweight Like lose it on the scales? I believe there is no weight limit on heavyweight, including no minimum weight. He could come in at 200lbs if he wants. JohnJax said: ↑ Might be a dumb question, but hypothetically, could Usyk lose his belt for not being a heavyweight.
Sebastian Fundora vs Keith Thurman postponed; Fundora injured
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Flo_Raiden, . Bummer, was actually looking forward to this. Hopefully the injury wasn't too severe and the new schedule isn't too far away from now. I’m shocked that it wasn’t Thurman who got injured. This content is protected That’s too bad. The promo photo is hilarious. Looks like a circus fight I'm so used to it being Thurman who is injured that I had to read it a few time to understand that it is Fundora.
Which is a bigger mismatch. Jai Opetaia vs David Benavidez or Oleksandr Usyk vs Jai Opetaia
Opetai will smash Benavidez Opetaia is actually stylistically a hard fight for Usyk. For one, Usyk has not fought a southpaw in 7 years. Usyk's natural advantages over right handers will not work here. Usyk's great defense will not be as great vs Jai since the punches will come from angles that Usyk is not accustomed to. Usyk defeated 2 good southpaws early at cruiserweight. Glowacki was a solid fighter but not as fast and powerful as Jai.
What's next for Zhilei Zhang?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by fitzroy boy_iron mike, . Can't find anything online. Anyone know? He's getting deeper into his 40s. Kabayel was horrible style matchup. Put him in with Dubious or Parker/Warley loser imo. I love Zhang as a fighter, he feels like a video game character stat wise and the way he fights. Happy to see him against nearly anyone tbh, and there is money to be made there still for him.
CST80's Picks For Best CRUISERWEIGHT Prospects/Fringe World Contenders To Watch.
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by CST80, . I haven't been doing hardly any Educate Yourselves threads lately, so I've fallen behind. So I figured I'd just hit you all with lump sum dump, of the Cruiserweights that I think are worth keeping an eye on. Since Usyk and assiev left and Briedis retired, aside from Opetaia, the division is pretty much a dire squalid wasteland. When you have two fat former Super Middleweights dominating, you know there's a problem.
Are you going to buy the Parker-Wardley PPV?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by dmt, . Is it worth spending 60 Dollars on ? or is it better to wait and watch the fight the next day through uploaded highlights? After paying for Usyk-Dubois 2 and Canelo-Crawford (through a new Netflix subscription), i am not sure if it worth it. I mean i like Joe Parker and want him to win but i am wondering if the card is actually worth 60$. Can't wait for PPV to end all together. I should be able to watch it just through Dazn subscription.
Agit Kabayal vs Nelson Hysa set for January 10 in Oberhausen
Hysa is ready to be obliterated within three rounds and earn the salary of a lifetime...
Joseph Obey Joyce vs. Richard Riakporhe
This is an interesting crossroads fight I like Riakporhe but he is somewhat unproven and 35. Joyce has faced and beaten better fighters but is also old and shopworn. I can see a scenario where Riakporhe out boxes Joyce and wins but I can also see Joyce overwhelm the smaller and less experienced Riakpore. I'm not a fan of Joyce but this seems like a good fight, a guy with a name in the UK market who is less of a risk than the top 10 at heavyweight
Wardley-Parker PPV undercard set
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Perkin Warbeck, . Disappointing. https://boxrec.com/en/event/931021 Personally, I think there should always be an interesting matchup or two on the undercard of a PPV. Several years ago, we seemed to always have several good fights on PPVs, but less so in recent years, except on Turki's events. Last edited: Pepsi Dioxide and Kiwi Fish like this.
I know Parker is fighting Wardley. Why not Kabayel?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Rubiosis, . Let me explain: this is about Parker as much as it is about Usyk. Parker is #2, Agit is #3. Kabayel is undefeated and his stock is way higher than Fabio's who is still on the rise and hasn't beaten anybody just yet. Wasn’t it logical and obvious for them to fight each other, with the winner facing Olek in what’s possibly his last fight? When I was younger I always wanted to see the best fight the best. Then I leaned it was a business.
What round does Fury stop AJ in?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by miniq, . Fury is retired, but if they fought at their peaks I could see Joshua surviving to the final bell, otherwise a late TKO. None. Fury is too chicken**** to face AJ. He was beat by, what did you say, a Middleweight, and an 0-0 MMA fighter. Stick a fork in that mince boar meat pie.... Why was Dubois's jab so useless vs Usyk?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by dmt, . I know Joshua struggled to jab vs Usyk too but i would say Joshua's jab was a lot more effective vs Usyk than Dubois. Why? It's harder to land a jab on a super mobile and elusive southpaw. CST80 said: ↑ It's harder to land a jab on a super mobile and elusive southpaw. Click to expand... I meant Dubois compared to Joshua. dmt said: ↑ I meant Dubois compared to Joshua. Click to expand... Because Joshua has a better jab than Dubois.
Can we please stop with this "Fury ducked Wlad" narrative?
Fury beats Wlad 24 hours a day, 7 day a week, 4 weeks a month, 12 months a year, and 100 years to the grave. Wlad is not on Fury's level. A big stiff robotic idiot. He dominated him in every way a man can be dominated. They sat there in the rematch face to face, Fury depressed as anything and Wlad sat there talking absolute rubbish and Fury with no effort picked him apart. Levels.
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by sid, . I thought you'd meant he had made an announcement or something. But its up to him, he has achieved everything in the sport. All that is left for him is a few little complements, like Parker and maybe someone from the next generation like Itauma. Of course these is also a huge amount of cash to be made. So yeah up to him how he feels, he apparently has hard camps and long prep times so I can see how every fight takes a toll on him.
Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley targeted for October 25 at the O2 Arena
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by BoxerMaurits, . This content is protected That´s actually a good fight. Isnt October 25th the one date Parker said he didn't want a fight since it shis brothers wedding? Crack up. Decent fight, good of Parker to be taking these risks when he is sitting on his interim Parker has to be the clear favourite here, so much more experience and skill than Wardley. Wardley definitely has power, but Parker has a decent chin and more pop than Huni.
Joshua in hibernation until 2026
Agreed he's pretty much at the end. I am surprised he hasn't been out yet or at least got a fight scheduled, injury not withstanding, as he's spoken publicly about his career winding down. Perhaps he is waiting for 'the right' opponent to surface. But I honestly don't think it will be Fury. Fury' s not really got the track record of facing necessary opposition - and I never thought he would start now
Rating recent heavyweight wins, Parker, Kabayel, Itauma etc
I'm kind if sick of having this discussion and talking around in circles, so i thought I'd just rate where I thought each of these fighters recent opponents actually sat actually sat when they fought with all the power of hindsight and irrespective of their published rankings at the time. Starting with Parker who is the current top contender who gets a lot of praise and criticism for his recent wins.
If Itauma is ready for Hrgovic, he's ready for Parker
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by bluebird, . What has Parker done to be considered a better fighter than Hrgovic? Both have close wins vs Zhang. Hrgovic beat Joyce, Parker was stopped by him. IMO they are on the same level. Hrgovic, Parker, Joyce, Zhang, Chisora and Whyte from a few years ago are much of a muchness and around the exact same tier. If anything, I put Kabayel above all of them, and the only other real big threat to Moses other than Usyk (and Fury).
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Jab in the Face, . LMAO Dubois has sacked Charles... funny as all **** I didn't realize he sacked Don Charles, I thought he sacked one of his supporting coaches. But it felt like the Don Charles sacking was in the air, based on team Dubois' behaviour before the fight. Your name or email address: Do you already have an account? No, create an account now. Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Rumsfeld, . This content is protected I'm down for it happening. Usyk, Fury, Wilder, AJ, Joyce, Zhang and Whyte are within 2-3 years of retiring. Even guys like Hrgovic, Kabayel and Parker are no spring chickens themselves. This HW era is ending and there are no promising future prospects. Who's gonna be there for Itauma in 3-4 years ? Anderson and Jalolov ? Buns.
If Usyk wants to rest, fight once a year and be family man - he gotta give up the belts
I think an undisputed champion should be fighting at the very least twice a year, more often if they are doing rematches. The division gets backed up otherwise as guys get their mandatories and wait for their shot. In an ideal world a belt gets defended against its mandatory within 2 years at the max. Yes I understand Usyk was mucked around a bit by Fury, but Fury was legitimately injured, and Usyk didn't have to agree to a Joshua rematch.
AJ vs. Itauma
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by BudC, . How would Moses fare against AJ? I'm still picking the experienced and proven Joshua over Itauma, ask be again tomorrow though. This depends on how Itauma does against Parker. If he is good enough to blow Parker away I'd favor him over prime joshua for sure Your name or email address: Do you already have an account? If Whyte somehow wins, what’s next for him?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Melankomas, . It would be a huge upset, does it bring Dillian into the title convo? Who would you want to see him fight afterward? Warren said he would look to make the winner of Itauma vs Whyte to fight Parker for the WBO. But I'm not sure he would actually be that keen if Whyte won. If Whyte wins, and looks good, I think he could definitely leverage that into a title shot.
Sounds like Usyk is about to vacate the WBO title.Parker will move up to full recognition and fight the winner of Whyte-Itauma.
Whyte is in great physical shape, is an upset possible?
An upset is definitely possible, going beyond Itauma not having his chin tested and Whyte having KO power with power being the last thing to go. I saw a recent interview with Itauma where he said he is not going to lose or be KO'd because he believes it. Just a little bit of a red flag imo.
Beterbiev will not be remaching Bivol, instead fighting Deon Nicholson
I've seen around that he supposedly had injuries going into the second fight and delayed surgery for it, and is now taking time off to recover. Don't know how true this is but his ex wife was claiming he had all sorts of injuries going into the first fight.
DKSAB. People love to say Dubois always folds in big fights or gave up vs Joyce. Yeah, he did “quit” once when Joyce shattered his eye and while I don’t blame him, I get why people call it poetic justice after he mocked Joyce’s blind mom and discredit his heart in this fight. He was 22 and still a kid. Since then, he’s gone on a killer run, took tough fights as an underdog, and proved his power is real. His jab’s become a weapon too.
The Only Hole In Usyk's Fabulous Resume
Gassiev threw 637 punches vs Lebedev and 608 vs Dorticos albeit he outboxed Dorticos on the backfoot There's so much reluctance and resistance to believe, and thirst to believe, Usyk isn't as great as he is. Have you ever seen a fighter whose opponents ''got the tactics wrong'' as often as his ones did? Even when he beats them twice.
WBO orders Usyk vs Parker
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Chuck Norris, . This content is protected AlwaysFirst, The Townsend, Perkin Warbeck and 3 others like this. Great news. Parker is really the only legacy defining fight left for Usyk to take before he calls it quits. Hopefully they make it happen. CodeRedDanger and Kiwi Fish like this. Yes! Hopefully we get a conclusion shortly without delays and get another championship fight this year, because one heavyweight championship fight a year is not the go.
Where would you rank usyk if he beats Parker and kabayel and then retires
Hello boxing fanatics, I am curious, how much would usyks resume improve if he beats Parker and kabayel and retires after that? I would love to watch him 2 more times showing us his atg skills set, but how would it really help him in his legacy? He already beat the big and marketable names and the legacy boosters. Parker is a former champ and long time contender and would give usyk depth in his resume, but kabayel, who stylistically is imo a great fight, would give nothing to usyks resume.
Usyk's performance vs Dubois is actually a bit underrated
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Babality, . For all of the talk about Dubois being a quitter, I think it's overblown. He's not that easily discouraged. Took a lot of punches vs Hrgovic. Took many punches and sustained an injury vs Joyce, got hurt vs Joshua and went on to KO him. Vs Joyce he tried his hardest and landed a lot on him. Vs Usyk, he was totally discouraged from being so badly outskilled that he felt he couldn't do **** without getting caught.
Last I heard he was tied up in a couple of lawsuits with both his manager and promoter, so until all that legal stuff is cleared up I doubt any major promoter wants to risk doing business with Franklin.
How good is Itauma?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Mister Pugilist, . people hyping him up is he as good as they say? We don’t know because he hasn’t had real step up fights yet. He LOOKS like he may be as good as he is hyped to be, but he needs some real fights to prove it. what we do know for a fact is that he’s twitchy with good reflexes, has really fast hands, and hits real hard. How is his chin? How does he react when a fight isn’t going his way? How does he react when hurt? How is his stamina?
Usyk's best win.
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Philosopher, . Before we get any of the revisionist nonsense that is sure to come, for me, that was Usyk's best win. I may be a lonely voice but I rate Dubois and picked him to stop Usyk this time. I didn't think Usyk had the strength or the power to do what he did tonight and whilst many will disagree with half of my next statement, he made the most dangerous man, the in form man, in the division look like an amateur tonight.
Who poses the biggest THREAT to Usyk right now?
This isn't a list of who is most deserving of a shot or anything like that. Who has the best chance of beating Usyk right now? For me: 1. Kabayel - Still an unknown quantity to a great degree, but I rate his skills, he's a vicious body-puncher and represents something different to anything Usyk has faced to date. 2.
With Sheeraz's win following Parker, Donovan and Whittaker is Andy Lee the most in form Coach?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Kiwi Fish, . This is probably a bit premature, but with how Andy Lee has taken these four fighters and improved their game, Whittaker and Sheeraz within a few weeks especially. Is he currently the most in form coach when it comes to building and improving fighters? All four are potential title holders with only Parker having been a champ before.
Is Oleksandr Usyk done at elite level?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by BudC, . This content is protected He’s almost 39, maybe he should retire soon, we’ve seen wear and tear in his last few fights.
