A recent federal court decision could help thousands of toxic water victims get closer to receiving compensation from the federal government. Federal judges have told the legal teams in the Camp Lejeune toxic water case to try and achieve a “global settlement” by the end of October. It’s believed roughly a million people from 1953 to 1987 were exposed to contaminated water at Marine Corps base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.

WASHINGTON, D.C. —  House Republican leaders are encouraging Rep. Chuck Edwards to end his re-election bid, according to a source familiar with the situation as well as two people familiar with internal discussions who spoke to CNN. This comes after the bipartisan House Ethics Ethics Committee released a report saying Edwards should be censured by the House for engaging in inappropriate conduct toward two young female staffers.
