Abstract Early detection of depressive symptom changes is vital for timely interventions. Mobile and wearable technologies enable continuous, unobtrusive monitoring of behavioral, psychological and physiological data, offering new possibilities for digital phenotyping and just-in-time prediction of depression. This scoping review synthesized findings from 52 studies to identify commonly used features, evaluate their predictive value and assess methodological approaches.

1. Introduction Prototypes are viewed as an essential part of user-centered design and testing. One major challenge is the difficulty in developing larger interactive prototypes facilitating complex interactions in the early stages of the design trajectory. This hampers iterative prototyping and testing cycles [1]. Therefore, it is hard to communicate these prototypes to the relevant stakeholders [2,3].

A frequently-studied phenomenon in cognitive-control research is conflict adaptation, or the finding that congruency effects are smaller after incongruent trials. Prominent cognitive control accounts suggest that this adaptation effect can be explained by transient conflict-induced modulations of selective attention, reducing congruency effects on the next trial.
