1 Introduction Doubly activated cyclopropanes, which have two electron-withdrawing carbonyl groups at the geminal positions, are useful precursors that can be widely applied to synthesize a variety of carbo- and heterocyclic compounds.[1-10] Syntheses of sulfur heterocycles from doubly activated cyclopropanes have been achieved using sulfur-transfer reagents.
