The Corp Member as a True National Hero -By Kolawole Abe
It is the dream of every graduate of tertiary institutions in Nigeria to adorn the NYSC brown Khaki uniform. We have been regaled with tales of how newly deployed corp members wear their attires posing for the cameras and sending them to their parents and loved ones. The feeling is usually ecstatic, and a dream come true. Parents and guardians are also not left out of the euphoria.

OP-UNEDITED | ICC And Its Macabre Dance - By Richard Murphy
The International Criminal Court (ICC) finally lost it. The decision of its outgoing prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, to investigate Nigeria’s Security Forces for human rights abuses and the equivalent of war crimes is one that the officials of that institution should have better weighed and advise against. Bensouda’s desperation to score achievements before leaving office is no justification for the shabby job that led to that decision.

By Kolawole Abe It is remarkable that our patriotic military chiefs continue to give their best even in the face of these disincentives. Well before the progress made by the international coalition against ISIS, the Nigerian military and security agencies led by The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, had made a great progress against Boko Haram and its affiliates.
ICC: Human Rights Groups Disown Allegations against Nigerian Military
The Coalition of Civil Society Groups on Human Rights (CCSGHR) have distanced themselves from the position of the International Criminal Court to investigate Nigerian security forces over alleged war crimes. The umbrella association of civil society organisations in the country said it is alarmed by the ICC, adding that the criminal court has lost focus and only seeking attention.
Buratai Harps On Collective Action, Citizen's Participation
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai, says a collective effort from citizens is required to put an end to the insurgency in the North-East. Overcoming Nigeria’s political insecurity
By Kolawole Abe Since 2009 when the Boko Haram insurgent group began a violent campaign in North-East Nigeria, there have been efforts by successive administrations towards addressing the challenge. In some quarters, it has been argued that the lackadaisical attitude of the government, especially between the period of 2010 to 2014, indeed gave the Boko Haram insurgent group the impetus to spread its nest and wreaked havoc of unimaginable proportion in Nigeria.

Buhari, Our Service Chiefs And Their Abiding Loyalty - aljazirahnews
By Kolawole Abe A silent and resilient reminder of unforgettable events to leaders in most climes of the world is history, which has always dwarfed the power of mistiness. If men had the domineering power to stop history, and shatter the cord of leaders from lessons of history, there is no extent that the energy would be exhausted until mission is effectuated. With history’s “nuisance,” a leader needs a superb aptitude to discern deception from falsehood, even from his volley of personal aides.
