3.1. Modal Test and Model Validation This section describes the experiments required to perform a modal analysis on the CBF. Non-parametric system identification is applied to the input and output spectra to obtain a set of FRFs. The first step in the procedure is to measure the impulse response of a system, by means of an impact test. This is performed using an impact hammer and tri-axial acceleration sensors.
