For nearly two years fencing has been up on the 900-block of Pandora Avenue, costing taxpayers nearly $63,000 and counting. The fencing, around trees, grass, and along sidewalks, was first introduced in the fall of 2024 as part of a very optimistic mayor’s first steps in “reclaiming” the street. “This is the next step in the move to do a reclamation of that block of Pandora,” Victoria Mayor Marianne Alto told CHEK News on Oct. 16, 2024.
