The Heart Foundation is auctioning off the second-ever signed Shohei Ohtani jersey with proceeds going towards cardiology research and heart disease awareness at the Smidt Heart Institute at Cedars Sinai under the direction of world-renowned cardiologist, Dr. P.K. Shah. The live auction will be held on November 11, 2024, at the Sherwood Country Club, Thousand Oaks, CA. Tickets for the dinner portion of the Golf Tournament are still available HERE.

Inglewood’s has slammed the brakes on plans to build a $2.2-billion-dollar shuttle that would move people to Intuit-Dome and So-Fi Stadium. The South Bay denied the city $500 million in funding to build the people mover that was supposed to ease up traffic around the city’s venues. Dimitrius Vendegriff said that as disabled combat veteran, he would have benefited from the shuttle. “I, myself, would be able to go from the venue and take those people a little closer and have less of a walk,” he said.

Covina Police Department K-9 Officer Jesse Gutierrez was critically injured during a police pursuit in the city on May 6, 2024. He was placed in a medically induced coma because of a severe head injury. Covina PD says Gutierrez is the sole provider for his wife and two young boys. The Police Association of Covina has partnered with the Peace Officers Research Association of California to help support Gutierrez’ family. All funds raised will help to bridge financial gaps during his recovery.
