 The Fire Weather Warning for Eastern Washington will expire Wednesday night, but with warm, breezy weather in the forecast, wildfire will still be a concern.  Thursday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the mid-80s.  That's just a little above our average high in the lower 80s. Winds will pick up briefly in the afternoon with gusts to 20 mph.  Expect the warm, sunny weather to continue through the weekend.

Hot, dry and windy weather will create critical fire weather conditions across Eastern Washington on Wednesday. A Fire Weather Warning is in effect from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Temperatures on Wednesday will reach the 80s and lower 90s in the afternoon with southwest wind gusts to 30 mph. Temperatures will be slightly cooler for the rest of the week, and it will be breezy each afternoon. Other than an isolated sprinkle early Wednesday morning, there's no sign of rain in the forecast.  Hot, dry weather followed by gusty winds will have firefighters on high alert for the next couple of days.  Temperatures on Tuesday will climb into the 90s across the entire Inland Northwest, which is by far the hottest weather of the season.
