Summer is just around the corner, but our recent hot weather makes it feel like it's already here. So, if you're thinking about hitting the lake to go fishing, boating, or just relaxing... how full is that lake? And how about the water temperatures in the local rivers? We've been talking about how the Sierra Nevada snowpack started it's Spring melt-off early this year for a while now, so now it's time to take a look at how our reservoirs are doing as we near Summer.

After a cool end to last week, the warm up continues: most Valley locations warmed into the upper 80's on Sunday. And Mother Nature isn't done yet, as the beginning of June looks even warmer. Porterville saw a high of 88 on Sunday, with Fresno, Visalia, Merced, and Hanford all topped out at 89. VIDEO We're not done with the warm - up: look for highs in the low 90's on Monday. It'll get even hotter than that later this week, with highs in the middle to upper 90's.

Election season is here, and one of the many pledges from a few candidates is to get rid of the California Air Resources Board, or CARB. We know they tax every gallon of gas sold in California, but why? And what would happen if there suddenly was no Air Resources Board? The California Air Resources Board was created in 1967 by Governor Ronald Reagan to create and maintain healthy air quality.
