Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Charles Foster Kane. Something about that last name, I suppose. Him, or Peter Parker.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

"Literature is the art of writing something that will be read twice; journalism what will be grasped at once." — Cyril Connoll

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Everything from paper and pencil to cloud-based word processors. My main tools are curiosity, passion, and a love of the written word.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Any work where I can cover or at least touch on climate change. It is the fundamental issue of our time.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Camping or sleeping. I spend more time online than is probably helpful but with my interests, the internet is the sea I swim in.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

For online reading, I spend a fair bit of time reading news and opinion pieces on aggregator sites like Reddit and Feedly.
