Rectal neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) smaller than 10 mm in diameter are generally considered to be less malignant and suitable for endoscopic treatment【1,2】. However, since NETs grow like submucosal tumors (SMTs), conventional endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) may result in a positive vertical margin.
