July 30, 2026, 3:39 p.m. CT Urbandale police identified the man who was found dead in a neighborhood lake on July 24. Urbandale police responded to a call of an unresponsive person found in Lake Halice, a private lake that borders 86th Street and the Halice Lake Neighborhood. The man in the river, who was found deceased in the water, was identified as Eric Dignes, 37, of Des Moines, by police in an update on Thursday, July 30.
