A Fairfax, Virginia, police officer on a routine traffic stop had a close shave, with death, when the The 17-year-old driver of a black BMW lost control while driving at a high rate of speed. The BMW crossed the median, and hit the car the officer had pulled over. the driver of the car that was hit, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The officer had minor injuries. The 17 year old was charged with reckless driving.

25 year old Conor Sturgeon was an employee at Old National Bank. According to police, he had interned at the bank for three years before earning a full-time position in June 2021. Sturgeon purchased an AR-15 rifle on April 4. He left a note, and police say he texted or called at least one person to let them know he was suicidal and contemplating harm. Sturgeon also livestreamed the attack on Instagram.
