SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A shooting investigation is taking place after two people were wounded this weekend. According to the Sioux City Police Department, on July 5, two people were reportedly shot at the El Gallo Negro. Police said they learned the two victims were taken to local hospitals in personal vehicles. These victims were injured, but police believe their injuries are non-life-threatening. They also believe the shooting was caused by an altercation in the parking lot.

According to the county sheriff’s office, during the Big Bang Boom firework event, a juvenile was hit with a drone. Authorities used drone identification equipment, but the pilot voluntarily came forward and is being cooperative. Right now, officials are trying to determine if this was a violation of the law. The FAA will be given a copy of the findings as well.

18-year-old suspect arrested for Sioux City stabbings Original

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A South Dakota man was arrested for a stabbing on the Fourth of July. Sioux City Police Department (SCPD) said, in the early hours of July 4, a stabbing was reported in the 1100 block of 23rd Street. Police officers found two people with stab wounds, and they were taken to the hospital. Both victims had non-life-threatening injuries, they reported. SCPD said Marquis Riley, 18, of Brookings, South Dakota, was arrested in connection with the incident.
