Sea Of Thieves Passes 5 Million Sales On Steam
Sea of Thieves is the latest game from developer Rare after a bumpy few years. The title originally launched in 2018 and was something of an experiment as it the first Microsoft’s major first party titles to launch day and date on Xbox Game Pass, something that has become the norm in the near 4 years afterward. The game also made its way to PC, and then even eventually onto Steam, where it seems that it has found some pretty incredible success.
ELEX 2 Currently Has No Paid Post-Launch Content Planned
Early next year, we will once again revisit the world of ELEX. The sequel will once again bring us to the sci-fi/fantasy hybrid world with a much bigger story and threat about to be unleashed. The first game was also filled to the brim with content, as is generally the style with RPGs, and it seems the second game will be similar. It also will have another thing similar to the first title, seemingly no post-launch content planned.
Cruis’n Blast Has Online Multiplayer And More Content Planned For The Future
Those of a certain age almost certainly remember the Cruis’n series. It was a common staple in dedicated arcades and even bigger supermarkets or restaurants. This year, we got a blast from the past with the appropriately named Cruis’n Blast. The game originally released in 2017 for arcades, but raced onto the Switch with additional content. It did lack a few things, however, but it looks like the developer plans to remedy some of that.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition PC Owners Can Claim Free Title For Limited Time
It seemed like nothing less than a slam dunk when it was announced that Rockstar would be bringing a remastered collection of the classic PS2-era Grand Theft Auto titles to modern platforms this year. However, as most are well aware at this point, it ended up being something of a disaster. The collection, titled Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, had a variety of huge technical issues across all platforms, even seeing it taken down on PC for a brief period.
Hot Wheels Unleashed Surpasses 1 Million Sales
The nostalgia-filled racer seems to have been quite successful, being Milestone's fastest-selling title ever. Posted By Landon Wright | On 20th, Dec. 2021 While Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 5 sucked up much of the air this year in the racing category, there was another smaller title that came somewhat out of nowhere with Hot Wheels Unleashed. The game saw you live out your fantasies of racing all your little Hot Wheels to your heart’s content.
Ghostbusters Actor Says New Game Is In The Works
The Ghostbusters franchise seems to be back in a big way with this summer’s release of the newest film, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The series has been dormant for a good while, especially so in the video game space. The last time we saw it in the gaming world was Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered, a re-release of the 2009 title that reunited the original cast for a new story. Now it seems the time is coming once again to be busting in gaming form.
Sifu Will Get Physical PS5, PS4 Release In Spring 2022
2021 is almost over and now is the time to peer into 2022, and already the beginning of the year is looking pretty strong. One title that will be there, even earlier than expected, is the martial arts combat game Sifu. The game sees you playing a character out for vengeance in brutal combat, where you can die and come back as an older and wiser version of yourself. The game promises that it will require multiple runs to unearth all of its secrets, and will release in February digitally.

Posted By Landon Wright | On 17th, Dec. 2021 It’s been a very long wait for Gran Turismo 7, but we are finally getting the game in the early months of 2022. We’ve seen a good deal of the game, as well as its expected tie-ins from premium car brands. The game, as most know, is cross-gen and will launch across both the PS4 and PS5.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Introduces Spellshot And Clawbringer Classes
One of the games that will help kick off 2022 will be Borderlands, but with something of a twist. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be a fantasy-themed spinoff, based largely off the Assault on Dragon Keep DLC, which is available now as a standalone purchase. The new title will see the familiar look and humor of Borderlands in this fantasy setting, but with more RPG like focuses. For instance, the game will have classes, and today we got a look at two of them.
Epic Games Store’s Unlimited Coupons Return Alongside Daily Free Games And Holiday Sale
It’s now passing the third year since Epic Games launched their own storefront, the Epic Games Store. The store has been a controversial one, largely because Epic chose to go a more a console-like approach of bagging third party exclusives for a timed period, which enraged certain PC communities. It was also pretty feature bare compared to other competitors, such as Steam and GOG, only just recently getting a shopping cart for instance.
Total War: Warhammer 3 Gives First Look At Campaign Map
It is time once again to return to the world of Warhammer with the Total War subseries revolving around the franchise. There seems to be tons of Warhammer video games that have been released or have been announced, but this take on the series will be a familiar one. Creative Assembly have been showing various parts of the game leading up to its launch next year, with much of that focus being on the various factions. Now we zoom out a bit to get a first look at the campaign map.
Silent Hill Creator Mulls Over Difficulty Of Potential Remake
The Silent Hill franchise is one of those key series in the history of gaming. While not the first survival horror title by any means, it’s mix of psychological themes with dreary environments remain influential on the genre and also still held in high regard, especially the second game for its subtle and disturbing storytelling. Much like every other Konami property, Silent Hill has been dormant for years, with the last game being Silent Hill Downpour all the way back in 2012.
The Gunk Shows Off First 15 Minutes Of Gameplay
While 2021 has been quite the year for all games in general, but quite a big one for indie titles. One of them even managed to snap Game of the Year at The Game Awards this year. But we aren’t done quite yet, as there is at least one more fairly large title in that space with The Gunk. The game will squeak by and come out later this week just before 2022 starts, and today we get a look at what the game’s opening 15 minutes will look like.
Trek To Yomi Gets Moody Gameplay Trailer
2021 is closing behind us, and 2022 is almost here. It looks to be quite an exciting year for gaming (barring more delays, of course), and we’ve already got several glimpses of titles that will be coming in the next year. One of those is Trek to Yomi, an indie title that was announced earlier this year. The game is going for a specific type of style, harking to black and white samurai movies with a cinematic flair. Today we got a look at how the game will play.
The Wolf Among Us 2 Update Is Coming Soon, Says Telltale
It was two years ago when the surprise announcement came that The Wolf Among Us 2 was being revived under the new version of Telltale Games. It was an exciting time, as that game is a follow-up to a game that helped to launch the original Telltale into being a major developer, and helped define their style for nearly a decade. However, it has been very quiet since that point, and the game was absent from this year’s Game Awards. However, it seems an update is upon us.
Weird West Will Come To Xbox And PC Game Pass On Day 1
At one point, 2021 was going to be getting pretty weird with the release of WolfEye’s debut title, Weird West. It was not to be, however, as the game suffered a delay and just missed that deadline and instead will help start 2022. The game looks to be an interesting one for sure, and looks to have a lot of ambition with various choice making mechanics. It also will be a day 1 release on Game Pass.
Sony Patents Online Building Features Of Death Stranding
You don’t get many truly out there and strange experiences in the AAA gaming space nowadays, but every once and awhile, you do get a Death Stranding. Created and Directed by Hideo Kojima after his split from Konami, the game is one of the oddest things to come out of that space in ages, filled with a bizarre world and even more bizarre storytelling.
The Epic Game Store Finally Adds Shopping Cart Functionality
It was at the tail end of 2018 that Epic Games announced that it would launch the Epic Games Store. A storefront and client that would serve as a new alternative in the PC space. The store has been a controversial one, largely due to Epic using the practice of buying timed third party exclusives for the storefront, something that was largely absent on PC. There were other criticisms, too, specifically aimed at the store’s lack of features.

Returnal Could Get More Save Options Down The Line, Says Developer
It was at the beginning of this year that we got the release of the next gen exclusive Returnal from Housemarque and Sony. The game was an interesting title, something of a mix of various types of games with bullet hell shooting, a psychological horror story and a roguelike structure. The game has been getting a lot of recognition already, but has been something of a hard one to get into for some. The title’s roguelike elements were originally quite unforgiving with no save state at all.
Microsoft Will Have 4 Unannounced Day 1 Releases For Xbox Game Pass PC At TGA 2021
The Game Awards is almost here for 2021. After last year’s show that went on without an audience, this week’s return looks to be something of a return to form. There’s sure to be tons of announcements, trailers, and I guess a few of those awards that the show is apparently named after. There’s always plenty of surprises, and it looks like Microsoft is teasing at least four for their Game Pass service.
Sonic Teased To Be At The Game Awards 2021
The Game Awards will be this week, and as often is the case, there’s lots of anticipation for the show. While it is peppered with awards, hence the name obviously, the big draw for most people are the reveals. Whether trailers for upcoming known games, or the big surprise announcements and unveilings. We also know something fast will also be at the show. As fans will know, the Sonic franchise took the year off from a new game for the developer to take some extra time.
The Next Battlefield Game Is Rumored To Be A “Hero Shooter”

Even though we aren’t far removed from 2042, we already are getting rumors about what the next game will look like, and it’s looking to be a very different experience.
Resident Evil Outrage Was Multiplayer-Based Project And Has Been Internally Canceled By Capcom - Rumor
The Resident Evil series is one of the most consistent, and consistently releasing, series on the planet. This year we got both the excellent Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 VR. Today, we also got some more information about a potential other game, but it’s not all good news.

Today, we also got an extended look at the action game. A new piece of gameplay footage was released that totaled over 15 minutes.
Terminator: Resistance Enhanced’s Annihilation Line DLC Gets New Trailer
Terminator: Resistance was something of a surprise for fans of the franchises when it came out in 2019. While we found it somewhat uneven, it’s probably the best thing to be produced from the series in quite some time (though that isn’t saying a whole lot admittedly). The game got an Enhanced edition later, and now will get a new DLC episode called Annihilation Line. We got an announcement trailer earlier with some tidbits of what to expect, now we are getting a little more.
PlayStation Plus’ December 2021 Titles Have Been Revealed
December is here, and 2021 is slowly winding down. It’s now the last month of this month that we’ll be getting our rollover for various subscription services. We know now what Sony has in Store for us with PlayStation Plus, and there are some pretty big titles on the list. Though, it is something of a strange one as two of them aren’t probably what you expect. Sony officially announced the three titles coming next week: Godfall for the PS5, and Mortal Shell and Lego DC Super Villains for PS4.
Solar Ash Shows Trippy, Contemplative Vibe With Launch Trailer
While Solar Ash, the next game from Heart Machine, did end up suffering a delay, it still managed to make it out this year. The game looks to be something of a combination of their last game, Hyper Light Drifter, and other titles like Shadow of the Colossus. It has what looks to be a trippy and contemplative vibe, which gets shown off for its launch trailer. The trailer, which you can see in full below, gives you a good look at the game’s trippy art style.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite Is Coming Xbox Game Pass For Both Console And PC On December 14th
The Alien franchise is an interesting one, as it’s a series that seems to fluctuate on a whim between being a tense horror experience and a full on action one. This year’s Aliens: Fireteam Elite swung in the latter direction for an interesting, if uneven, experience as it focused on a team of elite soldiers going after waves of xenomorphs in various settings. Now, it’s coming to Game Pass. It was announced that the title would be coming to both the console and PC version of the service next month.

The game was a unique blend of old school horror, survival and building mechanics and co-op that all mixed together into an interesting and terrifying experience.
Microsoft Introduces Clarity Boost For Xbox Cloud Gaming On Edge
The future of streaming is an interesting one, something that is coming in some form one way or another. A lot of the big players are investing in it, with maybe the biggest and most prominent being Microsoft with their Xbox Cloud Gaming project. But there are still a lot of challenges to cloud gaming, specifically quality over certain internet connections. It’s something that will have to be addressed as the technology progresses, and today Microsoft has introduced something along those lines.
GOG To Refocus “Core Business Activity” After Financial Losses
While CD Projekt RED is largely known for their two big franchise, Cyberpunk and The Witcher, the developer is actually part of a much bigger company that has its hands in a lot of pies. One of those is the GOG storefront on PC. The storefront has been an alternative to Steam that releases DRM-free versions of games, and also has focused a lot on re-releasing older PC titles that haven’t had updated releases, such as Silent Hill 4: The Room earlier this year.

Posted By Landon Wright | On 27th, Nov. 2021 The Total War series has always been a fascinating one to follow as it’s swung between real historical conflicts to pure fantasy to a mix of both. The next game in the franchise is firmly in that science fiction/fantasy realm as it will be another installment in the Warhammer branch.
Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires To Get Japanese Demo
It’s almost hard to believe, but it’s been nearly 4 years now since a new Dynasty Warriors game has hit the scene. The series was once one of the most steady releases from Koei Tecmo, but after Dynasty Warriors 9 tried some new things that didn’t quite hit, it went somewhat dormant. That will change with Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires, a reworked version of that game. While the game was once planned for this year, it was hit with the delay bug awhile back.
Sifu Will Not Have Difficulty Options At Launch, But Could Be Added Later
One of the most interesting titles that prepped to come at the beginning of next year is Sifu. The game has an intense combat system that sees you using kung fu to take out multiple enemies on your character’s path of revenge. It also includes a unique system where you die and age, which comes with various advantages and disadvantages.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers Gets Gameplay Overview Trailer; PC Closed Beta Coming December 3-4
There have been many Dragon Ball-themed games throughout the years, most of them fighting games, but also a mix of RPGs and card games as well. Next year, however, will get one of the most unique entries in the gaming side of the franchise with The Breakers. Instead of focusing on the core cast, it instead pits ordinary citizens against series villains in an asymmetrical multiplayer bout. It seems like a head scratcher, but today we got an overview of how it all shakes out.
Amazon Studios Said To Be Nearing Deal For Mass Effect Adaptation For Prime Video
The Mass Effect franchise is back in a big way. The series saw its return this year with the release of Mass Effect Legendary Edition that remastered the original trilogy, and we know now the series will continue with a Mass Effect 4 at some point in the future. But now it seems that the franchise could live in another way via Amazon. As reported by Deadline, apparently Amazon Studios are closing in on a deal to adapt the series in some way for Amazon Prime.
Resident Evil 4 VR Is Fastest-Selling App In Meta Quest’s History
It was something of a big surprise when it was announced that Facebook would be footing the bill for a VR-based remake of Capcom’s genre-defining classic Resident Evil 4. While the franchise is no stranger to VR (Resident Evil 7 was an early showcase for the PlayStation VR), but I imagine no one expected older titles, much less RE4, to translate to VR. Yet, it did surprisingly well, and the reception has been strong for the title. In fact, it looks like it made a little bit of history.

The Terminator franchise has been ongoing in some form or fashion ever since the original film way back in 1984. While the original two films are stone cold classics, the series has struggled ever since to find its footing, with various different reboots and sequels of varying quality. On the gaming side, the latest game in the franchise was Terminator: Resistance (which saw an enhanced re-release that ironed out some of the issues the vanilla release had earlier this year).
Halo Infinite Has Gone Gold
It feels as if it’s been a very long wait, between the original reveal and a long delay, but just over one year later and here we are about to see the official release of Halo Infinite. Of course, as most know, there is the multiplayer beta currently running that people are already enjoying, but the full release is set to come next month. Now, we know that the game is ready to go.
Rockstar Addresses Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition Issues, Will Make Older PC Versions Available Again
It seemed like nothing less than a slam dunk when it was announced earlier this year that a remastered collection of three classic Grand Theft Auto games would be coming out for the holiday season. However, as sometimes happens in life, things took quite the turn. The games did finally come out, but calling it a technical mess would be kind.
Deathloop Update 2 Adds NPC Improvements, FOV And Motion Blur Controls For PS5, And Much More
One of the biggest games of the year was Deathloop. The latest title from Arkane Studios saw you play as a Cole, a man who has lost his memory and is caught in a constant time loop on a mysterious island. Ultimately, it got a lot of acclaim, and we were fans ourselves, but it wasn’t without some technical issues here and there. Arkane has since updated the game, and now we have the biggest update yet in 1.2. 1.2 adds a lot of things to both editions of the game.
