Herbal hot compress combined with bianstone warm ironing improves anxiety and cognitive impairment via gut-brain-HPA axis in pubertal mesenteric lymphadenitis rats
Abstract Introduction: Pediatric mesenteric lymphadenitis (ML) is characterized by persistent intestinal inflammation, intestinal barrier damage and excessive oxidative stress, which can disturb the gut-brain axis, overactivate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, and induce anxiety and cognitive disorders in children.
Nauclea officinalis extract rescues working memory deficits in adolescent maternal immune activation offspring by restoring cholinergic signaling
Abstract Objective: Maternal immune activation (MIA) is a key risk factor for schizophrenia-related cognitive deficits, linked to prefrontal cholinergic dysfunction. Nauclea officinalis extract (NOE) possesses documented anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties, but its effects on MIA-induced cognitive and neuronal dysfunctions are unknown.
The potential protective roles of Astragalus polysaccharides against toxicity of polystyrene nanoplastics on mice sperm exposed
Abstract Introduction: Polystyrene nanoparticles (PS-NPs) damage the male reproductive system, although the potential impacts on mammalian reproductive health remain unclear. The aim of this study was to determine the protective effect of Astragalus polysaccharides (APS) on testicular and epididymal functions in a mouse against PS-NPs as environmental pollutants.
Effects of audio reading modes and content targeting on college students’ anxiety: an experimental study for university mental health intervention
Abstract With the intensification of social competition and the diversification of campus life, college students are confronted with increasingly prominent psychological challenges such as academic pressure and interpersonal conflicts. The accumulation of negative emotions and anxiety issues has become a key factor affecting their physical and mental health. Against this backdrop, developing low-cost and easily scalable emotional intervention methods holds significant practical value.
Academic performance and college students’ subjective well-being
Abstract Academic performance stands as a pivotal metric for schools in evaluating the proficiency of students, and it serves as a targeted objective for students to strive for. Based on the survey data of 327 undergraduate students, this paper empirically examines the association between college students’ academic performance and their subjective well-being.
Study on the effects of 4 × 4 min high−intensity interval training frequency on cardiorespiratory function, metabolic indices, and exercise performance in male university students
Abstract Objective: To determine the optimal weekly frequency of 4 × 4 min high−intensity interval training (HIIT) in male university students and thus provide evidence for prescribing efficient endurance training in this population. Methods: Forty−five physically active male university students were randomly assigned to three groups performing 4 × 4 min HIIT once, twice, or three sessions per week (n = 15 per group) for 6 weeks.
Characterization of Emulsified Sausages with Lentinula edodes Stipe-Derived Nano-Dietary Fiber as a Fat Replacer
This study investigated the effects of Lentinula edodes (L. edodes) stipe-derived nano-dietary fiber as a fat replacer on the properties of emulsified sausages. Using cellulase enzymatic hydrolysis combined with ultrasonic cell disruption, nano-dietary fiber was prepared and used to partially replace pork back fat at different substitution levels (10%, 30%, and 50%) in emulsified sausages.
Biomechanical differences in lower limb movements during lifting tasks before and after fatigue
Introduction In labor-intensive industries (e.g., construction, agriculture, logistics), manual material handling (hereafter referred to as lifting tasks) is a common physical labor form, yet it poses high risks of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) due to inappropriate postures and fatigue (Portell et al., 2019; Sauter et al., 2021).

Orogeny shapes the diversification of an ancient and relict spider family (Hypochilidae), with the stepwise uplift of the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau driving the radiation of Asian lineages | BMC Genomics | Full Text
Our dataset encompasses 32 hypochilid species, which constitutes all species except for E. zhouzhiensis Wang, Zhao, Irfan & Zhang, 2021. For Ectatosticta, a total of 35 individuals from different locations of 16 species were collected. Newly collected specimens were preserved in 95% ethanol and stored at −20°C in laboratory. For each sample, total genomic DNA was extracted from spider leg tissues using a TIANamp Genomic DNA kit (TIANGEN Inc., Beijing, China).
Biomass-based vegetable-/fruit-derived solvents for green recovery of LiFePO4 cathodes from spent lithium-ion batteries: alternatives to ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents and low-melting mixture solvents
Biomass-based vegetable-/fruit-derived solvents for green recovery of LiFePO4 cathodes from spent lithium-ion batteries: alternatives to ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents and low-melting mixture solvents† Lithium iron phosphate (LFP)-based lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are widely used in various fields due to their advantages such as low cost, long service life, and high energy density.
A deep learning-based algorithm for rapid tracking and monitoring of gas-liquid two-phase bubbly flow bubbles
Gas–liquid two-phase bubbly flow has significant applications across multiple fields, including reactor design and separation processes in chemical engineering, oil well extraction and pipeline transportation in the oil and gas industry, cooling systems in the nuclear industry, and wastewater treatment in environmental engineering.
Emotion generation method in online physical education teaching based on data mining of teacher-student interactions
With the development of online technology, more and more people are using online education platforms for learning. The advantages of online education lie in its temporal and spatial flexibility, cost savings, and ease of information sharing. At the same time, through multimedia technology, online education can also provide students with a more vivid and intuitive learning experience.

Recent progress on the detection of animal-derived food stimulants using mass spectrometry-based techniques
1. Introduction The use of performance-enhancing drugs (dopants) poses a significant challenge to the healthy development of international sports competitions (1). In an effort to uphold health, ethics, fair play, and honesty in Olympic sports, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) collaborated with several sports organizations to ensure ethical sports actions during the 24th Beijing Winter Olympic Games.

Receive an email when it is updated The misuse of animal-derived stimulants in food is becoming increasingly common, and mass spectrometry (MS) is used extensively for their detection and analysis.
Alcanivorax quisquiliarum sp. nov., isolated from anaerobic fermentation liquid of food waste by high-throughput cultivation
Abstract Strain CY1518T was isolated from an anaerobic fermentation liquid of food waste treatment plant in Beijing, PR China, and characterized to assess its taxonomy. Cells of CY1518T were Gram-stain-negative, oxidase-negative, catalase-positive and ellipsoidal. Growth occurred at 20–42 °C (optimum, 37 °C), pH 6.0–10.0 (optimum, pH 8) and with 0–6.0 % (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 1.5%).
