1 Introduction The production of crude oil from unconventional reservoirs using enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technology is becoming increasingly important as global energy demand rises [1]. Surfactants have a critical role in EOR by reducing the interfacial tension (IFT) between brine and crude oil or by altering wettability, thus increasing the amount of oil recovered from reservoirs after secondary recovery processes [2].

Yet, in most cases, large-scale business comes into the spotlight while the smaller volume area, small-scale LNG (ssLNG), does not receive recognition.
