For Shyama O’Brien, the St. Peter Food Co-op feels like home. “I grew up in this store,” he said, remembering after-school stops there as a child. His mother, Margo, served as general manager from 1979, the year the co-op opened, until her retirement 40 years later. He now has 30 of his own years with the co-op and is the deli operations manager.
