Gamma‐Glutamyl Cysteine Ligase Activity as a Proxy for Human T Cell Function and Drug‐Induced Immunosuppression (Adv. Sci. 37/2025)
Graphical Abstract Gamma-Glutamyl Cysteine Ligase GLed is a reversible europium-based sensor for glutathione that allows real-time, single-cell tracking of Gamma-Glutamyl Cysteine Ligase (GCL) activity, a function still not fully understood in human T cells. GLed directly links GCL activity to T cell effector functions, revealing that GCL is a critical regulator and a potential therapeutic target for immune-related diseases.
