Learned that developers signed up to considerate constructors scheme should make a safe environment for walking and cycling, so public can contact them with issues, refer to cc schemes & ask what they're doing about it
Joined a ride around Stratford gyratory yesterday morning with @MBCyclingTM @newhamcyclists (inc @fussellface ) @MetCycleCops & @NewhamLondon looking at how roadworks can be made safer/ better for cycling and walking. https://t.co/h2IUcJdkce
@citycyclists It's become a quagmire of negotiation, as you see, that risks a scenario where no-one is happy, and the purpose of the route - to improve safety - is no longer met :/
@citycyclists My understanding is discussions are still underway. CEPC told me they're still v willing to negotiate; they want the scheme. I was told Westminster were in agreement on current proposal, though they wouldn't say that publicly; plus there's the risk that option could worsen safety
@citycyclists You may have seen my piece on Friday. CEPC won't support current plans, saying they aren't good enough (two gates closed only in am/pm peaks). Westminster council apparently forced current watering down from original (4 gates, closed 3pm-11am)  https://www.theguardian.com/environment/bike-blog/2018/jan/19/regents-park-cycle-route-plans-at-risk-of-being-cut-back
