A man in his 70s has tragically lost his life after being hit by a Luas tram. The happened on Marlborough Street just after 7pm this evening. The area is currently sealed off and Luas green line services have been halted in the vicinity. Gardai are now urging any witnesses to the incident to step forward. Police have swarmed a street in central Dublin after a tragic incident in which a 70-year-old man was hit by a tram. The incident happened on Marlborough Street just after 7pm this evening, and the scene is currently cordoned off. No other injuries were reported. Luas tram green line services are currently suspended. Gardai are now appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward. They are especially appealing to people with dash-cam or camera footage to get in touch.

The flight made two go arounds before touching down in Dublin after reporting an issue while in the air over the Irish Sea. But due to the issue, and the need to remove the aircraft from the path, flight operations were removed from the north runway this evening. As a result, all flights were taking off and landing on the south runway, with the airport still operating as normal.
