OHIO, USA — Ohio’s public libraries are putting out a call for support following proposed funding cuts from state lawmakers. House Republicans on Tuesday proposed eliminating the Public Library Fund (PLF) in its version of the state operating budget. Right now, that fund receives a percentage of money from the state’s General Revenue Fund. “We are going to transition away from this kind of set 1.7% and go towards a flat direct appropriation to our libraries,” said State Rep.
