Hello!
My name is Laura Hull and I am a journalist living in Toronto, Canada. I recently graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University's journalism program. I've wanted to be a journalist for nearly a decade now, and I'm so excited that I've finally been able to start my career! I now work part-time at CBC Radio and freelance for various publications.
I grew up all over the world, living in Syria, Egypt, Jordan, and Ethiopia. I am Canadian and Algerian. My background and my upbringing heavily influence my viewpoint on the world and my work.
Alongside my journalism, I also work on a company I co-founded with Priscilla Cancar called Engram Learn. Based in the United States, we've created a site that helps US high school students study World History. I have always loved history, and am so grateful that I've been able to take part in this project.
I am passionate about immigration issues in Canada, housing, food insecurity, the Middle East, OSINT, and data journalism.
