Zero kroner. That's exactly how much EU students pay for masters study at the University of Copenhagen. It's not been the best start to 2026 for Denmark, but at least young people there know that should they so wish, they won't face financial barriers to being able to study this complicated world we live in. Back at Oxford, a lot of attention is paid, and rightly so, to the University's access efforts at undergraduate level.

Oxford has gone woke, apparently. This once-venerable institution has been dumbed down to a shadow of its former self, a place where debate is stifled, academic rigour has vanished, and diversity trumps diligence. Lee Cohen, a journalist for GB News (now Britain's most-watched news channel) recently asserted that all this points to "a deeper malaise afflicting Britain's elite institutions". As current students here, we must be very frightened indeed.

A new political society promising to "facilitate the discussion of left-wing ideas" has been formed at Oxford University. Your Party Society, inspired by Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana's alliance, was announced in an Instagram post this week, and will follow a similar democratic structure to the national Your Party movement. Students who attend its inaugural meeting are expected to help set the agenda. The society's social events have not yet been decided.
