What was your first job as a journalist?
I'm a freelancer, not all of my work is paid - but my first paid gig would be a feature interview with The Quietus.

No
How is social media changing news?
Social Media platforms especially Twitter is one of the biggest news rooms going. It's where I source a lot of my information from.

Sally Rooney
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To report about news, write scripts, be on top of politics, culture, entertainment. It's a very fast paced industry.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Once again, as a freelancer I just use Microsoft Word to type my articles. In the past I've used Wordpress. Sometimes I use Adobe InDesign

I've built lovely friends and connections with journalists on social media, but, publications would be; Wonderland, Kerrang!, The Guardian
Why did you become a journalist?
Because I love writing

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Read a lot, learn to configure your own writing style, and be willing to write for free.

Anytime during the day, Mon-Fri
What's the best pitch you ever got?
A piece regarding writing about New Order's Blue Monday, or perhaps writing a feature on the best tracks on The End of the Fucking World.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Writing about a boomer, cis-white male duo who make drill music called Pete & Bas.
