Have you ever used a typewriter?
No, but I have vague memories of a typewriter when I was about 2 years old in my household.
How is social media changing news?
Social media has changed the immediacy at which the news spreads while providing exposure to multiple more perspectives for good or ill.
Why did you become a journalist?
Gaming journalism allowed me to channel my passion for writing into my love of video games.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Not their newspaper, but I did editing work for the school yearbook on my senior year.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
"How The Fighting Game Community Remains Active During COVID" on Screen Rant.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Pursue the topics and stories that you're truly passionate about, and allow that passion to speak through your writing.
When's the best time to pitch you?
I constantly have my emails up in a tab and my phone on, so whenever is fine. I'm normally more active from the afternoon onward.
What's your favorite drink?
A nice cup of tea.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
With family or out on a walk through the neighborhood.
