Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes, and I still have an intense dislike for white-out and red pencils.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Tin-tin is a talented investigatory journalist traveling the world with his dog while writing great stories. He's living the dream.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

AP styleguide, Notebooks, Microsoft Office, Bridge, Wordpress, Twitter, Tumblr, Photoshop (food photography)

Who do you wish followed you?

Elisabeth Eaves. We follow each other on Instagram, but her writing inspires me to travel and write with meaning and purpose.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was involved with TAJE and UIL journalism competitions my junior year. I was then promoted to co-editor of my school newspaper.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Profile on a chef's fight against Monsanto Act legislation, and her work to preserve regional agricultural and culinary traditions.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Write everyday, ask questions everyday, and read everyday.
