Heterogeneity and associated factors of palliative care core competency among oncology nurses: a latent profile analysis
This study identified three distinct latent profiles of palliative care core competency among oncology nurses from five hospitals in Shenzhen: low-, moderate-, and high-competency groups. These profiles represent not only graduated differences in overall ability but also a structural imbalance, characterized by comparatively strong ethical care competency, moderate clinical practice competency, and markedly weaker psychological self-adjustment.

Epoch and accuracy based empirical study for cardiac MRI segmentation using deep learning technique
Results and Discussion For epochs 50, 100, 150 and 200, miscellaneous statistics are computed for the segmentation results produced by this network architecture. Also, the visual difference between the ground truth and segmentation results is analyzed. Epoch 50 results are shown in Figs. 2A–2C. Epoch 100 results are shown in Figs. 3A–3C. Epoch 150 results are shown in Figs. 4A–4C. Epoch 200 results are shown in Figs. 5A–5C.
Density regulation amplifies environmentally induced population fluctuations
Discussion In this study, we combined analytical derivations and numerical simulations to analyze the interplay between environmental noise and density regulation in driving temporal fluctuations in population abundance/density.
Sarcopenia and echocardiographic parameters for prediction of cardiovascular events and mortality in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis
Discussion In this prospective cohort study of patients undergoing MHD, our principal findings were that sarcopenia is associated with cardiac structure and function, as assessed by echocardiography. Compared with non-sarcopenic participants, patients with sarcopenia had a smaller RV size, IVST, and LVPW. Interestingly, we found a strong positive association between SMM and LVM.
Variability in nicotine conditioned place preference and stress-induced reinstatement in mice: Effects of sex, initial chamber preference, and guanfa... - PubMed - NCBI
Try the new PubMed Variability in nicotine conditioned place preference and stress-induced reinstatement in mice: Effects of sex, initial chamber preference, and guanfacine. Abstract Relapse to smoking occurs at higher rates in women compared with men, especially when triggered by stress. Studies suggest that sex-specific interactions between nicotine reward and stress contribute to these sex differences.
Metabolic syndrome severity decreasing among US adolescents
Favorable increases in HDL cholesterol and decreases in fasting triglyceride measurements may be responsible for the trend of declining metabolic syndrome severity in U.S. adolescents. The decline was also associated with changes in dietary patterns, according to the researchers. Mark D.
