NRF2 polymorphism and susceptibility to ischemic stroke in a Chinese population
This study employed a retrospective design and was approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of The First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University (Approval no. DFY20220415001). All participants were informed of the study’s purpose and provided verbal consent. Using the Power/Sample Size calculation tool (http://www.stat.ubc.ca/ rollin/stats/ssize/caco.html), the statistical power was set at 80% with a two-sided alpha of 0.05.

Musical timbre style transfer with diffusion model
In recent years, researchers have been paying more and more attention to the use of artificial intelligence in music creation. One important area of research in this discipline is the study of music style transfer. Before delving into this inquiry, let us suppose for the purposes of experimentation that there are two distinct aspects of music: style and content.
Early root phenotyping in sweetpotato (Ipomoea batatas L.) uncovers insights into root system architecture variability
Discussion The main reasons for developing this study were two-fold: first, to development a cheap, cost-effective, and efficient phenotyping system for examining stem-derived (i.e., adventitious/nodal) roots and second, to examine the inherent genetic variations in root traits among a commercially available sweetpotato clone and an unreleased breeder line.

Epigenetic regulation of dental-derived stem cells and their application in pulp and periodontal regeneration
Conclusions Dental-derived stem cells, as mesenchymal stem cells, play an essential role in pulp and periodontal regeneration. Epigenetic regulation can adjust gene expression independent of DNA sequence changes, which can affect the proliferation, differentiation, and function of dental-derived stem cells. DNA methylation, histone modifications, and ncRNAs constitute a grand epigenetic regulatory network that can function independently or coherently.
