Massive queues formed in the early hours of Thursday morning with keen shoppers desperate to get a look around the new Sephora store. The French beauty retailer has launched their first Scottish outlet in the St James Quarter, with excitement spreading. Doors opened on July 9, with shoppers able to get their hands on prizes, goodie bags and merch.

A long-standing Edinburgh gallery and framers is set to shut up shop after 37 years in the city. George Rendall, who runs Art et Facts on Roseburn Terrace, told us retail has been 'hit badly' over the last few years. However, he's stepping back from the shop after being 'well past' retiring age - and is ready to enjoy some time for himself. George, 68, told us business has been 'up and down' over time.
