Discussion This study found that a patient’s BMI did not affect the accuracy of CXR findings. BMI also did not affect the accuracy of chest CT findings. Finally, BMI did not affect the concordance between CXR and chest CT findings. Clinicians should not let a patient’s BMI affect whether the patient undergoes a CXR, a chest CT, or both. A high BMI did not make imaging less accurate, and a low BMI did not make imaging more accurate.
