Managing Hypertension in MI Patients: Key Updates for Clinicians & Place of Telmisartan and Metoprolol
Hypertension remains a major determinant of adverse outcomes after myocardial infarction (MI), contributing to recurrent ischemia, adverse left ventricular remodeling, heart failure, and cardiovascular mortality.
Dual-stream transformer approach for pain assessment using visual-physiological data modeling
Pain is a prevalent yet complex and multifaceted phenomenon, making its assessment a crucial aspect of healthcare (Hicks et al., 2001). Accurate pain evaluation is essential for diagnosing medical conditions, guiding treatment strategies, and supporting pain management. Traditionally, pain has been assessed through self-reporting methods (Tomlinson et al., 2010), such as numerical scales or descriptive questionnaires, where patients describe their intensity and pain characteristics.

Fishery-based adaption to climate change: the case of migratory species flathead grey mullet (Mugil cephalus L.) in Taiwan Strait, Northwestern Pacific
The flathead gray mullet (Mugil cephalus L.) inhabits the tropical and temperate regions between 42°N and 42°S (Thomson, 1963), and it is a highly valuable species for Taiwan’s coastal fisheries. Consequently, the locals call it the “Gray Gold.” Studies (Tung, 1981; Huang & Su, 1986; Shyu & Lee, 1986; Huang, 1989) have noted that gray mullet roe is suitable for consumption as a delicacy in Taiwan and Japan.
Ensemble modeling of black pomfret (Parastromateus niger) habitat in the Taiwan Strait based on oceanographic variables
Habitat modeling approach for sustainable development The Kuroshio Current and coastal currents near Taiwan contribute to the diversity and productivity of marine species. As a result, the prevalence of fleet-based fishing operations has grown substantially throughout Taiwan’s waters over the past 40 years. The fishing gear used in this region includes purse seines, bottom and pelagic trawls, longlines, and gill and set nets (Fisheries Agency, Council of Agriculture, 2019).

Strategies to maintain quality of life among people with Parkinson's disease: what works?
Strategies to maintain quality of life among people with Parkinson's disease: what works? Among chronic neurodegenerative disorders, Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most difficult and challenging to tackle as several motor and nonmotor features influence the patients’ quality of life (QoL) and daily activities. Assessing patients QoL with valid instruments and gathering knowledge about the determinants that affect QoL in individuals with PD are the basis of an efficient caring strategy.
