The recently released 2024 Integrated System Plan (92-page / 4.1MB PDF) is AEMO’s roadmap for the transition of the National Electricity Market and sets out the ‘optimal development path’ for the required infrastructure – including renewable energy generation, storage and transmission projects - to transition to net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Pinsent Masons advises joint venture on HumeLink East transmission line project in New South Wales

The firm advised ACCIONA and GenusPlus Group Ltd (Genus) on the negotiation of the delivery contract, which was signed this week. The HumeLink project will see the construction of a 500kV transmission line that will connect the New South Wales regional centres of Wagga Wagga, Bannaby and Maragle. The transmission line will consist of 360 kilometres of new lines, and new or upgraded infrastructure at three locations.
