Successful treatment of diplopia using prism correction combined with vision therapy/orthoptics improves health-related quality of life

In this study, prism correction alone resolved the diplopia in 51% of patients. When the prism correction was unsuccessful, the orthoptic/vision therapy prescribed resolved the diplopia in 60% of patients. Overall, the proposed treatment of prism correction followed by vision therapy/orthoptics as required was successful in 81% of patients. Participants successfully treated with prisms improved in both the general function and reading function domains.
